Nursing Home Negligence

Class Action Suit Filed Against Newmarch House over Nursing Home COVID-19 Deaths

On April 24, 2023, LawyersWeekely reported that Shine Lawyers, a national plaintiff’s firm, filed a class action on behalf of 25 people whose family members died from COVID-19. The complaint alleges the death were the result of negligence. An attorney with that firm was quoted saying “Death was a sad reality of the pandemic, but lives could have been saved at Newmarch House.”

The sad truth is that some nursing homes proactively took steps to prtect nursing home residents, while others did nothing. Unfortunately, many State legislatures took action to protect wrong-doers from liability associated with Covid. Still, if you believe your loved one’s death could have been avoided, please call us to see whether we can help.
