If you or a family member has been seriously injured as a result of malpractice, a truck wreck, car wreck or other action, you have a lmiited period of time to get justice. Insurance adjusters won’t help you because their job is to pay you as little as possible to get rid of your case. Generally, you have two years in Georgia to get justice and, after that, the Statute of Limitations bars your recovery.
Serious injuries can include:
- Broken bones
- Severe burns
- Dismemberment
- Disfigurement
- Loss of consciousness; and
- Partial or total loss of hearing or sight
Our goal is to ensure that all of your serious injuries and damages get properly compensated for by the at-fault party and their insurance company. In Georgia, you are entitled to economic and non-economic damages.
Economic damages include:
- Lost wages (past and future);
- Medical expenses (past and future) related to the injury you sustained;
- Home or car adjustment in order to accommodate your disability; and
- Property damages
Non-economic damages include:
- Psychological and emotional distress;
- Physical suffering;
- Trauma;
- Loss of consortium (spousal relationship); and
- Loss of enjoyment of life
